Who we are
An independent organisation, established in 2026, that measures how readable the documents on public websites are for people who use a screen reader, publishes the result, and repairs what is broken.
What we are
A small team of document engineers and a published method. We work in writing, in English, from a public website outward. We test against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and PDF/UA (ISO 14289-1), and we say on every page which parts of those standards a machine can check and which parts need a person.
What we are not
- Not a government body, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any federal, state, or local government or any disability organisation.
- Not a law firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
- Not a seller of software that promises compliance. We repair documents, one file at a time, and a person reviews each one.
Why the report card is public
Because a number nobody can check is not worth much. Each city page shows the crawl size, the sample size and the date, and the method page shows the arithmetic. If we got something wrong, tell us and we re-run it.
