Terms of service

Plain terms for a plain service. The written quote is the contract.

1. What we deliver

Repaired versions of the documents named in a written quote, plus an audit letter stating which checks each file passes on the date of delivery. Work starts when you accept the quote in writing.

2. What we do not promise

We do not promise legal compliance with any law, and nothing we deliver is legal advice. Our letter describes the state of the files we reviewed, as delivered. Documents we did not review, and edited copies of documents we did, are outside it.

3. Price and payment

The price is the one in the accepted quote, per page as defined there. Invoices are due within 30 days. Card payments and purchase orders are both accepted. There is no retainer and no minimum.

4. Your material

You keep every right in your documents. We use them only to do the work, keep working copies only while the order is open, and delete them 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them.

5. Corrections

If a delivered file fails a check the letter says it passes, tell us within 60 days and we fix it at no charge.

6. The report card

The report card is a published measurement of documents that public bodies make available to anyone. It is provided as information. A public body that believes a figure is wrong can write to reports@documentaccessibilityinstitute.org; we re-run the measurement and publish the result.

7. Limits

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
